Ummm. I’m not sure what I think about this.. I mean a NATIONAL conference happening in East Lansing?! Shouldn’t this be happening in a big, bustling city?
Pretty great eh? When we were at the Master Trainer conference last year there was a desire to have it at a location on the Eastern side of the country. It has always been in Seattle, the home of EnhanceFitness. Although, Lansing’s size may be small compared to Seattle, when looking for a hotbed of evidence-based programming you can’t do much better than Lansing. Michigan has over 40 EnhanceFitness sites currently, a number that will double in the next couple of years. In addition to EnhanceFitness, Michigan has a successful and growing PATH program, which is the Stanford Chronic Disease Self Managment Program. Michigan is one of 12 state Arthritis Program funded by the CDC to implement these programs. We are truly a national leader in evidence-based program implementation. Because of our growth and exciting plans for the next couple of years, Lansing is the perfect spot for this conference. Isn’t it great to hear happy news about Michigan!
